The Missing Malaysia Airlines Flight

(By Nana) Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370, with 239 people aboard, lost contact early Saturday with the airline from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing. In my viewpoint, there are some thing we have to realize although the China government claims that we will not suppose to guess the cause of this accident randomly. First, according to the date by the carrier and authorities from both China and Malaysia, cruising at roughly 35000 feet, the plane was about a third of the way into its trip and traversing the South China Sea when Malaysia controllers lost touch and the pilots failed to report to Vietnamese controllers along their anticipated path. Second, Air-safety experts have linked this accident with the 2009 crash of an Air France jet into the Atlantic Ocean en route from Brazil to France; all 228 people on board were killed. The pilots on that that plane also failed to issue any emergency calls and the wreckage wasn’t recovered until two years later, demonstrating the challenge of search and rescue operations. Third, the long-range Boeing 777 has had an exceptional safety record since entering service in May 1995. There have been only two earlier 777 incidents during a flight that results in the loss of the aircraft. The first time was in January 2008 and it result of 45 people injured. Another one happened in July 2013, and there were e passengers were killed. The Boeing 777 used to be regarded as one of the safest planes in the skies, however, its’ reputation must be damaged by the second fatal crash in less than a year. So, what could have caused the Malaysia airline plane to crash? As we see, there are two accidents occurred in recent years seem to relation to the foregoing disaster in hand, one is a crash at San Francisco airport last July, as well as another one is the crash landing of a British Airways 777 at Heathrow in January 2008. But the Malaysia disaster is so different with aforementiond two accidents. Both the BA and Asiana accidents occurred shortly before landing, while the Malaysia airlines plane disappeared off the radar during the early stages of the trip.
