First, I am a New England Patriots fan but i am not a hater of Manning. There is a conclude about Tom and Peyton: Tom never forget he was picked up at 199, he never says never, he constanly give fans hope of Patriots. However, Peyton has not this spirit. Before this Super Bowl, Broncos defeat Patriots in AFC final. The debate of Manning and Brady has been continued for several years. All of the two sides have their own opinion to support their hero. Also the media had positive point that Peyton would win his second trophy.
I also feel regret for Manning. He has climbed so high he is virtually a hero. However, this XLVIII super bowl like a mirror of Manning's career. He made a super bowl history of pass completion, on the verse, he lost the game. There is a opinion in Europe football field, if you are the coach who wins one time Europen Champion league, you are the great football coach; if you won two times victory of final, you are the legend. Sir. Alex.Ferguson is the best example of this role. That is same in the Amercian football field. Peyton must be a future Hall of Fame, but hum...........
That is so cruel for the professional athletic. They should be the perfect. They can not make any mistake. Ironically, they also are the human. Because of they can accomplish most people's dream. Why the public is so mean to a human being? David Beckham never win the World Cup, Yao Min even never touch the floor of the conference final, but who can deny their greatness. Also, Michael Jordan won six title of NBA, but when his record is broken. Is that will detract his status in the history. It is definitely not.
So, like the Manning said after game: Difficult pill to swallow. I do not believe Peyton will retire. As a professional quarter-back, I do trust him will mark the new record in the future. It is no meaning to discuss about why he can not win more. His contribution in the football field already shows he is real hero.Tjhere is no difference between hero Bady and hero Manning.
